Vladimir Tretyakov was born in 2008 in Saint Petersburg. In 2024, he completed his studies at Children’s Music School No. 11, where he studied in the class of Larisa Tishchenko. He is currently a student at the Saint Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Music College, where he continues his musical education in the class of Nikita Zubarev.
He has received the following awards at international and national competitions:
2024
- Awarded First Prize at the inaugural Anatoly Nikitin Russian Competition for Cellists, held in Saint Petersburg;
- Awarded Second Prize at the Ninth Valery Gavrilin Governor’s International Competition for Young Musicians, held in Vologda.
2025
- Awarded Third Prize at the Seventh Svyatoslav Knushevitsky International Cello Competition, held in Saratov.
- Awarded Second Prize at the VIII All‑Russian Competition of Young Performers on String Instruments and Harp (Saint Petersburg).
2026
- Awarded Second Prize at the VIII All‑Russian Competition of Young Musicians “Sozvezdie” (Sirius Educational Center).
He has taken part in master classes given by David Geringas, Olga Galochkina, Alexei Massarsky, Alexey Vasilyev, Kirill Rodin, Alexander Zagorinsky, Vasily Stepanov, Alexander Ramm.
Foundation Scholar of the “New Names” Foundation (2024) and recipient of the St. Petersburg Government’s “Young Talents” award (2024).
Winner of the Grand Prix at the Finist International Competition (St. Petersburg, 2026).
