Born in 1986 in Moscow. Since he was 8 years old he studied at the Moscow special music school named after Gnesiny (the class of teacher Lydia Grigorieva). In 2009 he graduated from the Moscow state Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky (the class of Professor Mikhail Voskresensky).
Laureate of International competitions:
1998 - third prize in the open International competition for composers-pianists "Nikolai Rubinstein and the Moscow school of composers" of Association "Classical heritage" (Moscow);
2001 - winner of the first prize of the First competition for young pianists named after N. G. Rubinstein (Moscow);
2007 - laureate at the IV International competition named after Olivier Messian ("Yvonne Loriod Prize") (Paris);
2010 - laureate at the IV International competition named after Queen Elizabeth (Brussels);
Participated in master classes with Paul Badura-Skoda (Austria), Stephen Kovacevic (USA), Sergei Babayan (USA), Ferenc Radocha (Hungary), Irina Kataeva (France), Noel Flores (Austria).
The constant participant of various music festivals. Together with composer Alexey Sysoev and percussionist Dmitry Shelkin he is the organizer and participant of ensemble of free improvisation music "Error 404".
Yuriy gave concerts in many countries, including Germany, Austria, Norway, Hungary, France, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Poland. Collaborated with conductors like Pierre Boulez, Marin Alsop, Paul Goodwin, Kazuhiro Koizumi.
Participant of programs of the St. Petersburg music house since 2013.
