Gerard was born in Moscow in 1991. He studied at the Gnesins Secondary Special School of Music in Moscow. In 2014 he graduated from P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire (class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor Sergei Dorensky), then - a postgraduate student at the Moscow Conservatoire in class of the same professor and, at the same time, a student at the Royal College of Music in London (Norma Fisher class).
Laureate of Russian national and international contests:
2007, 2008 - A Special Prize at the Romantic Music Festival (Moscow).
2010 - A Special Prize for performance of S.V. Rachmaninoff ‘s Elegy at the 11th International Edward Grieg Competition (Norway, Oslo).
2012 - The 1st Prize Award and a special prize “for the best performance of F. Liszt's piece” at the American Protege Competition (New York, USA).
Since 2008, he has been holding a fellowship of the K. Orbelian and N. Guzic Cultural Exchange Foundation (San Francisco, USA).
Gerard performed with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Orlov and with the Chamber Orchestra of the Kaliningrad Philharmonic within the framework of the Music Spring festival. He is a participant of the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland, 2010).
