ST. PETERSBURG MUSIC HOUSE, PLAYBILL (april, 2015)

April 1, Wednesday, 7 pm.  In the Saint Petersburg Music House (Moika, 122), “From Romanticism to the 20th Century” chamber concert will take place. Ivan Sendetckii (cello) and Dmitry Smirnov (violin), the winners of the international competitions, participants of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition will perform. The concert program includes Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Martinů, Kodaly, Shostakovich.             
Audience 12+, ticket price: 300-350 rub.

April 11, Saturday, 7 pm. On the Small Hall stage in the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic (Nevsky pr., 30), a symphonic concert from "Musical Team of Russia" series will take place.  The Russian participants of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition will perform with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Saint Petersburg. Alexei Stadler (cello) and Liubov Stekolshchikova (violin) will perform Cello Concerto in C major by Haydn and 4th Violin Concerto by Mozart. Conductor – Alexander Polishchuk.          
Audience 6+, ticket price: 200-400 rub.

April 15, Wednesday, 7 pm. In the English Hall of the Saint Petersburg Music House, ”Dedication to Scriabin” piano evening will take place. The young pianists, winners of the international competitions –  Veronika Salikhova and Andrey Shesterikov – will perform. The concert program includes Chopin, Debussy, Granados, Scriabin.            
Audience 12+, ticket price: 300-350 rub.

April 24, Friday, 7 pm. The Saint Petersburg Music House (Moika, 122) invites you to “Heroica” piano evening. In the English Hall Konstantin Scherbakov, the brilliant pianist (Russia - Switzerland) will perform pieces of Beethoven, whose 235th birthday is celebrated this year. Variations "Heroica" and "Heroic" symphony in a piano transcription of Franz Liszt will feature.    
Audience 12+, ticket price: 350-400 rub.
 

April 15 and 16 Maestro Boris Kusсhnir (violin) will held 3-days master classes. Within the “Higher Music Performance Courses" Project, the Professor of the Vienna Conservatory and the University of Music in Graz will share his artistic secrets with young Russian musicians. Among the students of Boris Kusсhnir, we can find such brilliant violinists as Nikolay Tsnaydler, Julian Rachlin, Alexander Soumm, Pavel Milyukov. In accordance with the teacher request, the master classes will be closed, the public is not admitted.

April 15, 16, and 17, from 11 am till 3 pm. Master classes of Mikhail Voskresenskiy (piano), the People’s Artist of Russia, will take place In the Music House. The Professor of the Moscow Conservatory celebrating his 80th anniversary this year focuses on the disclosure of the descriptive content of works and improvement of performance. Students and teachers of music schools, as well as music lovers are welcomed as listeners.

April 23, from 11 am till 3 pm and April 24, from 11 am till 1pm. Master classes for young Russian pianists will be held by Konstantin Scherbakov, the world-renowned pianist, Professor of the Zurich Conservatory. A distinctive feature of Scherbakov is a focus on rarely performed and highly complex programs which consist of works previously considered not suitable for performance. We invite the listeners.

Excursions in the Alexeevskiy Palace (Moika, 122):
April 7, 9, 14, 21, and 28, at 4 pm. (On Tuesdays and Thursdays) We invite you to regular excursions round the grand halls of the Alexeevskiy palace (the Music House), the residence of the Grand Duke Alexey Alexandrovich Romanov.  The building in the historicism style erected on the Moika, 122 is the creative peak of Maximilian Messmacher.
Ticket price: 350 rub. Audience 12+.           
Shoes with high heels, photo and video shooting are prohibited.

TOLYATTI – YEKATERINBURG – MOSCOW

April 4, Saturday. The Saint Petersburg Music House invites you to Tolyatti, where a concert of “Musical Team of Russia” Project will take place. Sergey Ponomarev (cello), the winner of Karl Davydov International Competition (Latvia, 2014) will play as a soloist and together with the orchestra. The program is a musical kaleidoscope of chamber works by Italian, German, and Russian composers and Cello Concerto by Robert Schumann. Piano part: Liudmila Nabok, the winner of the numerous international competitions.

April 8, Wednesday. In Yekaterinburg, one of the “Generation NEXT" concerts of "Musical Team of Russia" Project will take place within the joint project of the Saint Petersburg Music House and Sverdlovsk Philharmonic. The young soloists from Moscow, participants of the Music House programs will play. Olga Yakushina (violin) the winner of the Leopold Auer International Violin Competition (Saint-Petersburg, 2014) will perform pieces by Tchaikovsky, Paganini, and Wieniawski. The program of Nikolay Saratovskiy (piano), the winner of the "Arcangelo Speranza" International Competition in Taranto (Italy, 2014) will include works of Schumann, Bach, Rachmaninoff.

April 10, Friday. In the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of the Moscow Philharmonic, “Stars of the 21^st Century” symphonic concert will take place. Yury Favorin (piano) the winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition (Brussel, 2010) will play the 4th Piano Concerto by Rachmaninoff. Pavel Milyukov (violin) the laureate of the Saracci, Canetti, Oistrakh, Paganini competitions, the winner of the All-Russian Competition (2011) and Khachaturian International Violin Competition (Armenia, 2012) will introduce the Violin Concerto by Tchaikovsky to the Moscow audience. Conductor – Dimitrios Botinis.

April 22, Wednesday. The "Embassy of Musical Mastery" concert will open Days of Russian Culture in Funchal, Madeira. Masterpieces of Russian music by Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky will be presented by Andrey Dubov, the Moscow pianist and Dmitry Smirnov, the Saint-Petersburg violinist. Piano part: Liudmila Nabok.

April 23, Thursday. Season of “Russian Thursdays” will continue in Stockholm. On the Musikaliska stage, the winners of the numerous international competitions, participants of the Saint-Petersburg Music House and Moscow Philharmonic programs, Philipp Kopachevskiy (piano) and Nikita Borisoglebsky (violin) will perform. The program includes Schumann pieces, bright representative of the Romantic era.

April 23, Thursday and April, 24, Friday. In the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Prague and London, Miroslav Kultyshev, the brilliant pianist from Saint Petersburg, will play for the Tchaikovsky birthday anniversary within "Embassy of Musical Mastery" Project. The guests of the evening will hear the most lyrical opus of the Great Russian composer - "Seasons" and music pieces of Maurice Ravel performed by the winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow, 2007) and Monte Carlo competition (2012).

April 28, Tuesday in Linz, Austria, a solo concert of Sergey Redkin, the outstanding Petersburg pianist will take place within the joint project of the Saint Petersburg Music House and Brucknerhaus. The winner of the International Maj Lind Piano Competition (Finland, 2012) and International Prokofiev Competition (Saint Petersburg, 2013) will play virtuoso etudes by Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

April 29, Wednesday and April 30, Thursday piano recitals of Sergey Redkin will continue in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Vienna and Bratislava within "Embassy of Musical Mastery" Project.
