Bogdan Efremov (cello)

INTERVIEW.  SOLOIST OF MARCH 2024

Born in 2005 in Saint Petersburg. He attended the Children's School of Music No. 20 in the Kurortny district of Saint Petersburg. Since 2019, he is studying at the Gnessin Moscow Secondary Special (Vocational) School of Music with Igor Zimin, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Laureate of the All-Russian and international competitions

2019

• The I Prize Award at the International Performing Arts Competition for Youth named after G.V. Sviridov;
• The III Prize Award at the II International Klaipeda Cello Competition "CelloKlaipeda" in Lithuania; 
• The winner in the All-Russian television contest of children's talents "Blue Bird" in Moscow

2021

• The Grand Prix Award at the IV International Strings Competition named after professor V.I. Sher in Petrozavodsk; 
• The I Prize Award at the V International Cellists Competition named after Svyatoslav Knushevitsky.

2023

• Semi-finalist of the XVII International Competition named after. P.I. Tchaikovsky

2024

• Winner of the 1st prize at the International Competition for Young Musicians “Yamal Symphony”

He improved his skills at the master classes by Jens Peter Mainz, Frans Helmerson, Fernando Arias, David Geringas, Alexander Nikolaevich Buzlov, Sergey Roldugin, Aleksander Ramm. 

He has been a participant in programs at the St. Petersburg Music House since 2022.
