Emil Ildirekov was born in 2007 in Saint Petersburg. He began his musical education at Children’s Music School No. 34 in the class of Tatiana Gishyan. Since 2016, he has been a student at the Secondary Special Music School of the Saint Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, studying under Larisa Baranova.
He is a laureate of national and international competitions:
2019 – First Prize at the 8th International Youth Performance Art Competition named after G. V. Sviridov (Saint Petersburg).
2020 – First Prize at the All-Russian Open Festival-Competition of Performing Arts named after M. M. Ippolitov-Ivanov (Moscow).
2021 – First Prize at the 5th International Performance Art Competition Elite International Music Competition (online).
2022 – First Prize at the 9th Demidov International Youth Violin Competition DeMYuKS–IX (Yekaterinburg).
2023 – First Prize at the International Online Music Competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff.
2024 – Second Prize at the 21st International Central Music School Competition In Tribute to L. B. Kogan (Moscow).
2025 – First Prize at the 7th All-Russian Competition for Young Musicians Constellation (Sirius).
He has participated in masterclasses with Vladimir Ivanov, Elena Chvertok, Christian Tetzlaff, David Grimal, Graf Mourja, Maria Krestinskaya, Marc Bouchkov, Olga Irkhina, Anna Sokolova, Elena Revich, Anna Yanchishina, and Dmitry Kogan. In 2021, he took part in the creative session of the Sirius Educational Center in the class of Anna Laukhina.
He was awarded the Young Talents of Russia Prize in 2021. In the same year, he became a scholarship holder of the International Maestro Temirkanov Foundation. From 2022 to 2024, he was a scholarship holder and participant in the concert programs of the New Names Foundation. He also took part in the concert programs of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. In 2023, he received a named scholarship as a laureate of the Ray of Hope competition for instrumental soloists organized by the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. In 2022, he performed in concerts held as part of the Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia in Paris. In 2024, he participated in the Auer. Heritage International Violin Festival in Saint Petersburg.
He maintains an active concert schedule, performing at leading venues in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, and in cities across Russia, Belarus, and France.
He has collaborated with conductors such as Mikhail Golikov, Arkady Steinlucht, Anton Shnitkin, Dmitry Yakubovsky, Fyodor Beznosikov, Pyotr Maksimov, and Klimenty Katenin.
