The Rossotrudnichestovo Mission in Luxembourg is located in the Verlain suite of buildings in a prestigious diplomatic district of Luxembourg in front of the residence of the Italian ambassador and near the building of the Grand Duchy Army General Staff.
The Russian Center of Science and Culture accomodates all necessary facilities for various activities. That includes a conference room, library and language study classes. RCSC is frequently attended by both Luxembourgians and Russian nationals. There are various activities taking place here: artistic and documentary exhibitions, photography exhibits, concerts, film shows and thematic evenings along with celebrations of Russian holidays, seminars and conferences. The Mission is also involved with vigorous cultural awareness activities in cooperation with various institutions of the Grand Duchy.
The performances by young Russian soloists in the framework of Saint Petersburg Music House’s Embassy of Mastery cycle have been taking place there since June 2013, and are connected with Russian public holidays, memorable dates and cultural events.
On September 19, 2014, the soloists of the Saint Petersburg Music House performed at the Luxembourg City museum of fine arts on the occasion of the opening of the joint exhibition of the Renaissance, Baroque and Romanticism painting with the State Hermitage. At the inauguration of the exhibition, Dmitry Smirnov and Andrey Telkov performed violin pieces by the 16th and 17th century composers: Charpentier, Tartini, Veracini and Schumann. The Russian art has been represented by Tchaikovsky’s Seasons. Since 2012, the Embassy of Musical Mastery concerts of young soloists of Saint Petersburg Music House take place here.
