The Russian land is rich in talent. Many talented people live all over its territory.
Young performers are being trained in music schools, colleges and conservatories. Large concert venues often provide their stages to young musicians.
It is a well-known fact that great discoveries in science are often made at the borderline of various directions. The St. Petersburg House of Music is unique because it combines education and concert opportunities. Inviting the best professors to workshops and bringing large audiences to concerts of our performers, we create optimal conditions for shaping young talent.
To assure the creative success of young performers, they have to develop a sense of responsibility for their concert performances. So performing before an audience is the best teaching method, very different from a music lab performance. During a public concert, a young performer is no longer a student trying his or her strength, but a professional who is expected to deliver a creative event.
Large businesses have given us the support we needed. A new approach to educating new Russian talent was the gift of concert pianos by Gazprom, and stipends awarded by Bank Rossiya, charity help of Rosneft and long-term cooperation with Baltic Media Group.
We are also privileged to be supported by renowned patrons of the arts and the federal and city authorities.
We will continue working on making the House of Music a favorite meeting place for fans of art in Russia and St. Petersburg»
