Vladimir Mischouk was born in 1968 in Leningrad. In 1991 he graduated from the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (Tatiana Kravchenko and Dmitry Bashkirov’s class). Among Vladimir Mischouk’s teachers, there also were such masters of performing art as Karl Schnabel, Rosalyn Tureck, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Leon Fleisher, Fou Ts’ong.
Vladimir Mischouk is a laureate of the IX International Tchaikovsky Competition (1990). Annually, the pianist gives more than 100 concerts all over the world. He performs on tours in Europe, Russia and post-Soviet countries, the USA, the Philippines, Korea. He gets an ecstatic reception from audiences of such halls as Grand Opera, Opera Bastille and Chetelet (Paris), La Scala (Milan), Concertgebaouw (Amsterdam), Schauspielhaus (Berlin), Alte Oper (Frankfurt am Main), Frauenkirche (Dresen), Palace of Finland (Helsinki), Suntory, Orchard, Metropolitan, Tokyo City Opera, Casals Hall (Tokyo), Rockefeller Center (New York), Coliseo (Buenos Aires), Teatro Ghione (Rome), Munich Philharmonic Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Capella, The Grand and Small halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Mariinsky Theater (St. Petersburg) and the Bolshoy Theater (Moscow). Vladimir Mischouk cooperates with such conductors as Nikolai Alekseyev, Alexamder Dmitriyev, Veronika Dudarova, Valery Gergiev, Igor Golovchin, Juozas Domarkas, Arnold Kaz, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi, Mikhail Pletnev, Alexander Polyanichko, Evgeny Svetlanov, Vladislav Chernyshenko. Outstanding musicians, that the pianist plays with, include Liana Isakadze, Naum Starkman, Ivan Monigetti,Vadim Repin, Marianna Tarasova, Olga Kondina and many others.
Vladimir Mischouk combines his successful concert life with teaching at St. Petersburg Conservatory (since 2012 he has been a professor of the department of special piano). Since 1998 he has been the chief guest professor of the S.O.P.R.A. Academy (Japan), since 2009 – a professor at the International Music academy in Como (Italy). He gives master classes in major world music contests. Since 2011 Vladimir Mischouk has been the artistic director of the International Festival of Russian Music in Staraya Russa.
