Vazgen ​ Yusupov (clarinet)

Born in Dashoguz, Turkmenistan, in 2003. He attended the Children's School of Music No. 1 in Belgorod (class of teacher Dmitry Khegay). A student of Igor Butman's Jazz Academy in Moscow (class of Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Evgeny Petrov).

2020

• The 2nd prize in  the 1st International Classical Music Competition "Viva-Music All World" (online)
• The 2nd prize in the 7th Moscow Open Competition of clarinetists and wind ensembles at the Dunayevsky Music School in Moscow
• The Winner at the 2nd All-Russian Constellation Competition for Young Musicians in Sochi

2021

• The Winner at the 4th International "Weber Clarinet" Competition (Petrozavodsk, The Republic of Karelia)

2022

• The II prize and the special prize "For the best performance of a compulsory work of the 2nd round" at the XIII International Competition for Performers on Wind & Percussion Instruments (Moscow)

2024

• The 2nd prize of the IV All-Russian Music Competition (Moscow and Saint Petersburg).

He has attended learning sessions at the “Sirius” center in Sochi in the classes of Evgeny Petrov (2018, 2019) and Vladimir Permyakov (2019). Participated in workshops by Anton Moiseenko.
 
He is a holder of the scholarship of the Chairman of the Belgorod Administration for talented children in the field of arts, a recipient of the “SoundOut” Foundation scholarship. He also was awarded the Grant of the Mayor of Moscow (2019, 2020).
He is a regular participant of international festivals. He has performed with the Goltsov Orchestra of Brass and Pop Music, conducted by Valery Konoplya, GUDI Wind Orchestra, conducted by Marat Akberov and other ensembles.

Vazgen participates in programms by Saint-Petersburg Music House since 2021.
