ST. PETERSBURG MUSIC HOUSE, PLAYBILL (march, 2021)

On March 11, Thursday, at 7.00 p.m., a spring "Music of Stars" will sound in the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella (Moika, 20). The St. Petersburg Music House soloists and brilliant contestants at the Tchaikovsky Competition Aleksander Ramm (cello, 2nd prize, 2015) and Philipp Kopachevskiy (piano, special prize, 2019) will perform the romantic Schumann Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2. A golden medalist of the Youth Delphic Games of Russia Roman Markelov (saxophone) will “sketch” post-war Paris in jazz improvisations from Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra by Henri Tomasi. Conducted by Igor Manasherov. * For season ticket holders: performance of Alexei Lobikov (trombone) took place on October 30.

On March 18, Thursday, at 7 p.m., the soloists of St.Petersburg Music House, winners of the International Tchaikovsky Competition (2015) Sergei Redkin (piano) and Pavel Milyukov (violin) will perform at the Concert Hall of Mariinsky Theater (Dekabristov street, 37). The chamber programme is dedicated to music by the most outstanding composers of the Romantic era: Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, Wieniawski, Saint-Saëns, as well as piano masterpieces by Prokofiev.

On March 20, Saturday, a "Young Interpreters of Russia" concert will be held in the Memorial Flat-Museum of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in 28 Zagorodny prospect, as part of the all-Russian festival “Rimsky-Korsakov Day” dedicated to the composer's anniversary. The chamber program will include pieces by Rimsky-Korsakov himself and composers of his circle.

On March 24, Wednesday, at 7 p.m., “Young Interpreters of Russia” – Elizaveta Ivanova (flute), Elizaveta Kliuchereva (piano) and Arsenii Gazizov (double bass) – will be performing at the Mirror Hall of Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace (41 Nevsky Prospekt). The program will include Bottesini's italian romance for double bass and orchestra, Piano Concerto №3 by Rachmaninov and lyrical flute in the Nielsen's Concerto.

On March 25, Thursday, at 7:00 p.m., laureates of international competitions Petr Khudonogov (flute) and Evgenii Evgrafov (piano) will perform in a joint program of the Music House and the Northern Symphony orchestra under the baton of Fabio Mastrangelo at the Music Hall Theater (4 Alexandrovsky Park). The Musical Team of Russia will perform Mozart’s Flute Concerto No.1 and Scriabin’s Piano Concerto. Also on the program: music from Mozart The Magic Flute and Lyadov's fairy tale picture Magic Lake.
The concert is rescheduled from May 26, 2020. Audience 6+. Ticket price is 900-1400 rubles.

On March 4, Thursday, at 7.00 p.m., People's Artist of Russia, Professor Mikhail Voskresensky (piano) will be back with an online lesson "Embassy of Musical Mastery ONLINE." The topic of the master class will be the riddle of Ludwig van Beethoven 32 Variations on an Original Theme - one of the composer's most outstanding piano works, connected with a line of deep and powerful tragedy.

 On March 2, Tuesday, at 7.00 p.m., a soloist of St. Petersburg Music House Ilia Papoian (piano) will perform Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23 at Park of Science and Art “Sirius” in Sochi. The joint program of the Musical Team of Russia and the Sochi Symphony Orchestra will feature the Symphony No. 4 (“Italian”) by Mendelssohn. Conducted by Alexei Aslanov.

On 3 March, Wednesday, at 7.00 p.m., the cycle "Musical Team of Russia" will continue with the performance of laureates of international competitions Alexander Vasiliev (clarinet) and Andrei Telkov (piano) in Sochi. The chamber program will offer music for clarinet and piano by the "Italian Mozart" Gioacchino Rossini and impressionist Ernest Chausson, P. I.Tchaikovsky - A. Chabod Nutcracker fantasy for clarinet and piano, American classics - Leonard Bernstein's Sonata and Études-Tableaux by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

On March 3, Wednesday, at 7.00 p.m.,  Moscow's Zaryadye will host the Piano Marathon by the St. Petersburg Music House soloists, featuring winners of international competitions Andrey Zenin, Alexander Kashpurin, Tagir Kamaltdinov  and Roman Sosnin. Mazurkas by Chopin, pieces by Brahms, Trois poèmes pour piano d'après Aloysius Bertrand by Ravel, Sergei Rachmaninoff's Études-Tableaux, Sonata No. 7 and Sarcasms by Prokofiev will be performed.

On March 6, Saturday, at 5 p.m., the Musical Team of Russia will be performing in Arkhangelsk for the very first time. Violinist Arseniya Sibileva and pianist Timofey Dolya will perform music by Schubert, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and Eugene Isaÿ for violin and piano in the Pomorskaya State Philharmonic Hall.

On March 15, Monday, at 6:30 p.m., a program of the series "Generation NEXT", postponed from March 18, 2020, will be performed in Yekaterinburg.  The St. Petersburg Music House soloists Aleksandr Bolotin (piano) and Aleksandr Bodosov (trombone) will appear in the Sverdlovsk State Academic Philharmonic with a chamber program: Chopin's piano masterpieces and arrangements of music by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Schubert for trombone and piano.

On March 17, Wednesday, at 7 p.m., the Musical Team of Russia will take part in the opening ceremony of the Musical Spring International Festival in Kaliningrad. Accompanied by the Kaliningrad Philharmonic Orchestra, the young soloists of St. Petersburg Music House Arseniya Sibileva (violin), Elizaveta Ukrainskaya (piano) and Arsenii Gazizov (double bass) will perform Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, Double Bass Concerto No. 1 by Giovanni Bottesini and the Violin Concerto by Jean Sibelius.

On March 20, Saturday, at 4.00 p.m., a "Music of Stars" subscription concert will be held in the North Caucasus Philharmonic in Kislovodsk. The leading soloists of the St. Petersburg Music House Alexey Lobikov, a winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition (trombone) and Ilia Papoian (piano) and Vasiliy Stepanov (cello), both laureates of the All-Russian Music Competition, will perform with the orchestra under the baton of Honoured Artist of Russia Alexei Vasilyev. There will be music from various periods from the Baroque to the contemporary music: melodies from Griselda by Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, Launy Grøndahl's Trombone Concerto, and the Cello Concerto by Alexander Tchaikovsky, who celebrated his 75th birthday this year.
